The test writer must first determine the actual areas to be covered by Multiple Choice items and the number of test items to be included in the test.

2.    The primary purpose of the stem is to present the problem clearly and concisely. The stem may take the following forms: an incomplete statement and a question.

3.    Example of an incomplete statement:

4.    Example of a question:

-       How many characters are there in the story?

5.    There is no repetition of each option.
